Sakinah Campaign 2013- In Pictures

Sakinah Project Achieves a New Milestone in 2013

Based on last year’s successful campaign which saw us collaborating with Nuvasive Spine Foundation USA ( to sponsor free spine surgery for many Nigerians, MPAC is pleased to announce a new opportunity for us to touch more lives this year in sha Allah. Below is the summary of the FREE Eye Care campaign we are running this year by the will of God:

FREE EYE SCREENING AND SURGERIES (Comprehensive Screening- all ages, 75 Cataract Surgeries, 200 Prescription Glasses, Medications)

  1. University of Ilorin Teaching Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara State

  2. Communities in the Rural Areas

Providing access to free healthcare and medication is fundamental to many things that we take for granted. A large number of Nigerian are suffering from many eye problem that are progressively turning them blind.

FACT: Approximately 285 million people worldwide live with low vision and blindness.

You have something very precious. Will you help others to have it too? A Gift of Eyesight. Simply by reading this appeal you are using one of the most precious gifts in life – your eyesight.

We enjoin you to do a great deed this month, and have your rewards multiplied. Healthy children can attend school regularly, giving them the opportunity to improve their future. We are specialists in providing free medical services for the poor and vulnerable who simply cannot afford to pay for medical treatment.

FACT: Every 5 seconds, someone in the world goes blind and a child goes blind every minute.

Losing your sight is one of the most frightening things that can happen to anyone. And it’s so much worse if you are already living in a situation where you have no-one to turn to for medical help or assistance. Helpless and frightened, many people who lose their sight become even more vulnerable to unemployment, starvation, disease and a lonely, lingering death.

They ask thee what they should spend (in charity). Say: Whatever you spend that is good, is for parents
and kindred and orphans and those in want and for wayfarers. And whatever you do that is good,
(Allah) knoweth it well. [Holy Qur'an 2:215]
