Itโs 9 days to the blessed month of Ramadan. ๐
As Ramadan approaches, one of the most beautiful acts of worship to revive is Tahajjud โ the voluntary night prayer. It is a deeply personal moment between the servant and Allah, away from the noise of the world, where sincerity is nurtured and hearts are softened. Preparing to establish this habit now makes it easier to maintain during Ramadan, especially in the blessed last ten nights.
Allah says in the Qurโan:
ููู
ููู ุงูููููููู ููุชูููุฌููุฏู ุจููู ููุงููููุฉู ููููู
โAnd from the night, pray with it as additional worship for you.โ
โ Surah Al-Isrฤโ 17:79
This verse highlights Tahajjud as an extra act of devotion that elevates a believerโs spiritual rank and deepens their connection with Allah.
The Prophet ๏ทบ also described the special mercy present in the last part of the night:
โOur Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains…โ
โ Sahih al-Bukhari 1145

In these quiet moments, duโa is more intimate, forgiveness is sought more sincerely, and hearts feel closest to their Creator. Tahajjud is not about length, but about presence, humility, and consistency.
Reflection for Today:
Consider how often the night passes without remembrance. Even a few minutes spent in prayer can transform the heart and prepare it for the spiritual intensity of Ramadan.
Action for Today:
โจ Wake up 10 minutes earlier
โจ Pray two rakโahs of Tahajjud
โจ Make sincere duโa from your heart
Starting small builds consistency, and consistency builds closeness to Allah.
