It’s 4 days to the blessed month of Ramadan. 🌙
As Ramadan approaches, preparing the heart requires deep mindfulness and honest reflection. This is a time to pause, assess our spiritual state, and take accountability for our actions before entering the blessed month.
Reflection is not meant to discourage the believer — rather, it awakens the soul. Recognizing our shortcomings opens the door to sincere repentance, personal growth, and spiritual renewal. When we confront our weaknesses with humility, we prepare ourselves to experience Ramadan more consciously and meaningfully.
The Prophet ﷺ said:

This hadith reminds us that true wisdom lies in self-evaluation. Taking time to review our deeds, habits, and intentions helps us realign our lives with our faith.
Journaling can be a powerful tool in this process. Writing down personal shortcomings, sins we seek to abandon, and habits we hope to build transforms reflection into action. Alongside this, documenting our hopes and spiritual goals for Ramadan gives direction to our worship.
Ramadan then becomes more than abstaining from food — it becomes a journey of inner reform.
Action for Today:
Journal your personal shortcomings, make sincere tawbah, and write down your hopes and spiritual goals for Ramadan.
