About Everyday Muslim
“Everyday Muslim” is a captivating lifestyle Muslim programme produced by Women Radio WFM 91.7 in collaboration with the Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC, Nigeria). This exciting initiative is dedicated to promoting a deeper understanding of the diversity and richness of the Islamic faith while shedding light on the everyday aspects of Muslim lives.
The objectives of #EverydayMuslim are:
- Promote understanding of the diversity and richness of the Islamic faith; and learning about the everyday aspects of Muslim lives;
- Identify the contributions of Muslim heroes to the society, the Ummah, and celebrate their achievements for the purpose of inspiring and encouraging the youth;
- Document and celebrate the contribution of Muslims in society today and in an historical context;
- Promote the value of shared commitment to the common good and help to create opportunities for mutual learning and tackling of prejudice;
- Address Islamophobia and promote peaceful co-existence by creating opportunities for mutual understanding and peacebuilding.
