In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
(16/06/2025, Lagos) The Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC), Nigeria, joins millions of Nigerians in grief, outrage, and disbelief at the endless bloodshed that has, once again, turned Benue State into a killing field. The mindless slaughter of innocent men, women, and children is not just a tragedy for Benue – it is a stain on the soul of Nigeria, and a national shame that should shake every person of conscience to the core.
MPAC condemns, in the strongest and clearest terms, these barbaric and senseless acts. The sanctity of human life is a sacred trust – inviolable and non-negotiable. No community, no family, no individual should ever have to live under the constant shadow of violence, impunity, and abandonment. What is happening in Benue is not merely an assault on those killed or left to mourn their dead. It is an assault on our shared humanity, on our unity as a nation, and on our collective future.
We stand in solidarity with the government and good people of Benue State in this hour of pain. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families, and we pray for the speedy recovery of the injured. We ask Almighty God to grant peace to our land, heal our wounds, and guide our leaders towards justice, righteousness, and compassion.
