All across the northern region, IDP camps bear eloquent testimonies to the number of Muslims displaced from their home, the number of widows and orphans. From Saya-Saya in Kaduna to Funtua in Katsina, from Gaidam in Yobe to Tsafe in Zamfara, defenceless worshippers have been attacked mid-prayer, their only “crime” being faith in Allah (SWT).

These are not isolated incidents – they form a long, brutal pattern:
– Mosques set ablaze.
– Worshippers shot mid-Salat.
– Travellers slaughtered for their Muslim identity.
– Over the last decade, tens of thousands of Muslims have been killed, yet their stories seldom make the headlines.
The silence is deafening.
The imbalance in outrage is disturbing.
The truth must be told – Muslim lives are not lesser lives.
As we call for justice and accountability, let us remember every innocent life lost – Muslim, Christian or otherwise – and resist narratives that divide the victims of the same violence.
Justice must not be selective. Every life matters. Every truth must be told.
