MPAC has for years championed the cause of justice for the Palestinians in Nigeria. In over a decade, MPAC has demonstrated unwavering commitment to Muslim rights issues in Nigeria and elsewhere around the world, with the sustained campaign for Palestinian freedom, independence and right to life being a major issue we have dealt with.

In total, MPAC had issued more than 50 press releases at different times to support the cause of justice for the Palestinians. MPAC ran impactful advocacy including publications, articles and adverts in national newspaper, and in order to sustain the public awareness and advocacy for justice and human rights for the Palestinians, notwithstanding paucity of funds, we ran a national billboard campaign for Palestine in 2021- https://mpac-ng.org/mpac-engage-mpac-supports…/.
As can be seen since the start of the current genocidal attacks on Gaza in October, many prominent countries in the world have shown unwavering support for Israel, the foremost being United States of America, which has showered Israel with weapons, intelligence, manpower and political support to continue to defy the world’s nations that have collectively expressed horror and condemnation at the Israeli war crimes. Several attempts by many nations to end the bloodletting in Gaza has met with US rebuff, and the last attempt at the UNSC which saw a ceasefire resolution escaped US veto, the US insisted the UNSC resolution is non-binding. The US then went ahead to restock the Israeli war machines with more efficient weapons.
So far, more than 30,000 Gazans have been killed, more than 70,000 seriously injured and 2 million displaced.
Palestine has been under Israeli occupation for decades, resulting in a severe system of oppression, apartheid and humanitarian crisis. The occupation has led to the death and injury of millions of Palestinians, displacement of millions of Palestinians, and the situation remains dire for those who are still living in the Palestinian territories of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. Palestinians continue to rely on supporters, friends and allies like us to keep alive their hope and aspirations for freedom, even as they on their part protect with bare chest our common heritage by maintaining presence at the Al Aqsa mosque- the desecration of which was a major trigger for the current violence being visited on them.
