MPAC rejoices with the Eket Muslim community on the commissioning of the Eket Central Mosque.

We use this medium to rejoice with the Eket Muslim community on the commissioning of the Eket Central Mosque at Ebana community in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom, Nigeria over the weekend.

The opening Khutbah (sermon) was delivered by his Royal Highness Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi ll, Emir of Kano. In his address, the Emir described those attacking Mosques and Churches in Nigeria as ill-informed and uneducated political activists.

The Emir also challenged Nigerians to become responsible for learning about the true values of Islam and bring up their children to peacefully coexist with others; understanding the teaching of peace, tolerance and love which are the core values of Islam.

MPAC, Nigeria hopes that the Mosque would be a source of harmony between the Muslims and Christians in the community as well as become a platform for the propagation of Islam.
